New - Level 2 Award in Introduction to Financial Services Call Centres

CCNQ is pleased to announce that Ofqual has accredited the Level 2 Award in Introduction to Financial Services Call Centres. This qualification was developed in partnership with Call Connection, a financial services company which provides a call centre for insurance companies, to accredit their in-house Induction Programme. Even though this qualification was specifically developed for them it has been designed so it can be used by other organisations.

New - Level 4 Award in First Line Management

CCNQ is pleased to announce that Ofqual has accredited the Level 4 Award in First Line Management. This qualification was developed in partnership with the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to accredit their in-house training programme. Even though this qualification was specifically developed for the NHS Trust it has been designed so it can be used by other organisations.

CCNQ units funded by the SFA in the offer to the unemployed

CCNQ has a number of units that are being funded by the SFA as part of support offered to the unemployed. This starts from 1 August 2011 and QCF units will be a central part of this publicly funded offer. NEW - Level 3 Certificate in Training in Systematic Instruction (TSI)

CCNQ are pleased to announce that Ofqual have accredited the Level 3 Certificate in Training in Systematic Instruction (TSI). This qualification aims to provide service providers with the skills required to provide one to one support for employees who require assistance to learn the skills of their jobs. The qualification will provide job coaches working in supported employment and others with the skills to enable learners to learn new tasks.

Ofqual have recently accredited the Award, Certificate and Diploma for Professional Bankers qualifications. These qualifications have been designed at the request of, and in consultation with, the banking and financial services sector.

City College Norwich Qualifications (CCNQ) has been working closely with TSI training professionals, Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, the Department of Health, the British Association of Supported Employment and others to develop existing TSI training programmes into an accredited qualification.
The qualification is still subject to approval by Ofqual and should be available by June 2011.

The current commercial climate requires ever increasing compliance and oversight in both the public and private sector which means that Business Continuity skills will be in demand. This recently accredited qualification will allow the individual to develop a good understanding of Business Continuity Management concepts, implementation and management. The Certificate in Business Continuity Management is a qualification which demonstrates that BCM is a critical business process and a useful business tool for managing crisis, risks and threats.

Diploma in Public Safety and Policing goes from strength to strength

Following the successful accredition of the Diploma in Public Safety and Policing the first students graduated at a ceremony at Wymondham. Evaluation of the course provided evidence for its success and it is now a requirement that individuals successful at the Norfolk Constabulary final board interview / security vetting will be required to undertake and pass the pre-commencement Diploma in Policing and Public Safety at City College Norwich. This course can be a full day or part day / evening course and requires full attendance over a period of 16/18 weeks.
